Some general information
Physical teaching spaces
Our courses use an indoor teaching space and an outdoor garden area. Both indoor teaching spaces are wheelchair accessible and have wheelchair accessible toilets. The garden spaces at each venue are flat and contain a combination of paved and unpaved surfaces, though the paths at Glandore are narrow in places. The Aldinga garden is 150m away from the classroom on paved surface, and this return trip is made once per class.
Session activities
Each session is comprised of a mixture of seated or standing classroom based learning and garden based hands on learning. We move between the indoor and outdoor space throughout the session. All activities are adaptable depending on students' physical capacities and abilities and this can be discussed during your intake meeting with your trainer.
Both classes have a thirty minute break halfway through the class, and students are encouraged to take additional breaks for body movement, refreshment or using the bathroom as needed.
Field trips
Some offsite field trips will take place during the course. Transport to and from these field trips is included and field trip locations and activities will be discussed to accommodate all students.
